Which Vinyl Plank is right for you?

When choosing between glue-down and click vinyl plank flooring, there are several important differences to consider:

Glue-Down Vinyl Plank:

This type requires an adhesive to bond the planks to the subfloor. It’s a more permanent solution and often used in commercial spaces or areas with high foot traffic. It is More forgiving of minor subfloor imperfections. The adhesive can help accommodate slight irregularities, making it a viable option even if the subfloor isn’t perfectly smooth or level.

Click Vinyl Plank (Floating Floor):

These planks interlock with each other and do not adhere to the subfloor. They “float” above it. This makes installation quicker and easier, often a preferred choice for DIY projects. It’s also easier to replace individual planks if needed. It Requires a very level and smooth subfloor. Since these planks “float” above the subfloor, any unevenness can lead to issues with the locking system, causing planks to separate or become unstable over time.
